ENJOY THE SECASTILLA VALLEY
The Secastilla Valley has a high altitude of about 700-800 metres above sea level, and its peculiar geographic conditions make it a privileged area to enjoy hiking, mountain biking and even paragliding. Visitors will find no trouble making their way throughout this stunning valley, as road signs are conveniently posted all over.
Some places to discover are the "Wine Culture Trail," the hermitage San Martin’s path and the Ubiergo Paragliding Area. The "Wine Culture Trail" is designed to provide visitors information on eveything related to wine cultivation and production, with references to traditional farming as well as to modern techniques used today. This "trail" will be complimented by new additions like panoramic tables and explanatory boards of one-of-a-kind areas, such as those formerly dedicated to subsistence economy practices. In these places, diverse crops would be complimentarily gathered in order to help make food products available during all seasons of the year. An "outdoors museum" is also in the works to display the ancient tools used to produce two of the Secastilla Valley's most deeply-rooted products: wine and olive oil.
The "Wine Culture Trail" begins at the parking area and it is properly indicated by road signs. To follow the trail, simply look out for directional arrows all along it. This Trail presents the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable landscape among carefully cultivated vineyards that hold a special charm every season of the year.
