Viñas del Vero “triumphs” in the 2007 Spanish guide wines and achieve higherratings that any other winery from the Somontano region. It’s worth highlighting that Blecua 2003 is considered “one of the top ten wines of Spain”.

Iberia selects our Secastilla 2004 to be served in the Business Plus Class on all intercontinental flights during January 2007 in the "Sommelier Selection" being the only Spanish wine to be served on board.

The North American guru Robert Parker, without any doubt the most influential wine critic in the world, has granted excellent reviews to the Viñas del Vero wines with ratings above the outstanding 90 points mark: Blecua 2001 (94 points), Secastilla 2004 (91 points) and VdV Gran Vos Reserva 2001(91 points).

Viñas del Vero was the only winery from the Somontano region to be featured in the wine experience organized by the luxury cruise Queen Mary II in its inaugural trip.

Our VdV Crianza 2003 was awarded "Gold Medal" at the prestigious Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2007.

Viñas del Vero has signed a sponsoring agreement with Expo Zaragoza 2008 to be present during the International Exhibition that will be celebrated in Zaragoza from 14th June to 14th September 2008.

The Guía CAMPSA 2006, edited by the Spanish Gastronomy Academy, awarded 88 points or more to twelve of our Viñas del Vero wines. We are the only Spanish winery with such a high number of wines over 88 points or more. It’s worthwhile highlights the ratings of both Blecua 2002 and VdV Syrah Colección 2003, with 94 points, andVdV Merlot Colección 2002 and Secastilla 2003 with 93 points.

The 2006 Proensa Guide selects two wines from Viñas del Vero as the best wines from from the Somontano D.O.: Blecua 2002 and VdV Clarión 2004 rated 97 points, and two more of our wines: Secastilla 2003 and VdV Chardonnay Colección 2002 rated 95 points each.

Paradores Nacionales de Turismo de España (Spanish Tourism Association of Paradores, premium hotels) selected two Viñas del Vero wines for the menu in their restaurants: VdV Gewürztraminer Colección 2005 and VdV Merlot Colección 2002.

VdV Syrah Colección 2004 chosen by the Spanish magazine "Sobremesa" as "the Star of the month" by its excellent quality-price ratio with 88/100.

Our VdV Gewürztraminer Colección 2005 was awarded "Silver Medal" at the prestigious International Wine Challenge Awards at London.

The renowned wine critic José Peñin awarded scores of 85 points or more in the "Guía Peñin de los Vinos de España 2005" to ten of our Viñas del Vero wines. Four of them achieved over 90 points: Blecua 2001, Secastilla 2002, VdV Cabernet Sauvignon Colección 2002 and VdV Chardonnay Colección 2002. This high average has never been achieved before by a Spanish winery.

VdV Gran Vos Reserva 2001 won a Gold Medal in the prestigious international competition "Mundus Vini" in Germany.

Our Secastilla 2003 was awarded the "Somontano Trophy" at the prestigious International Wine Challenge awards ceremony in London

In the awards "Tempranillos al Mundo 2005" (Tempranillo of the World 2005), organised by the Federación de Asociaciones Mundiales de Enólogos (World Association of Winemakers), our Viñas del Vero Crianza 2001was also awarded a Gold Medal.

VdV Chardonnay 2004 and VdV Merlot Colección 2002 were selected by Iberia to be served in Business Class on all intercontinental flights. Furthermore, the Dutch airline, Transavia has selected the VdV young wine range in 18.75cl.

Once more, the American magazine "Wine Spectator" identified one Viñas del Vero wine as “best value”. This time it was our VdV Cabernet Sauvignon Colección 2001 which scored 89/100.

VdV Crianza 2002 was selected by RENFE to be served in the high speed train (AVE), in Altaria, Alaris and Grandes Líneas classes.

The prestigious British magazine Decanter identifies Viñas del Vero as an example of the "wines of the New Spain" and highlights VdV Chardonnay 2004 as one of the best Spanish wines that can be found in the British market.

VdV Clarión 2003 was placed on the "Honours Board of the best Spanish wines" by the Guía CAMPSA 2005 with an excellent score of 95 points.

VdV Clarión 2002 was selected by the Spanish Royal Household to be poured during the Gala Banquet on the eve of the Wedding of his Royal Highness D. Felipe de Borbón and Dña. Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano, the Gala Banquet was prepared by the prestigious chefs Ferrán Adriá and Juan Mª Arzak.

VdV Crianza 2000 rated as "Best value" by the influential magazine Wine Spectator and among the best wines in the world for excellent quality to price ratio. 85/100 points.

VdV Chardonnay 2003, VdV Tinto 2003 and VdV Merlot Colección 2001 selected for the first time by Iberia to be served on flights. The VdV Tinto 2003 and the VdV Chardonnay 2003 in 18.75cl to be served in Economy Class and the VdV Chardonnay 2003 and VdV Merlot Colección 2001 to be served in First Class in 75 cl. Our wines have already been served in other airline companies such as Lufthansa or SAS.

The prestigious Guide Campsa 2004 placed VdV Clarión 2002, VdV Chardonnay Colección 2001 and VdV Gewürztraminer Colección 2002 in the "Honours board of the best Spanish wines" with 92 points.

The Guía de Oro de los Vinos de España 2004 (Golden Guide of the Wines of Spain), awarded the Gold Medal to our VdV Gran Vos Reserva 2000.

The 2004 Andres Proensa Guide of the best Spanish wines awarded VdV Clarión 2002 with the excellent score of 97/100, and considered it to be the best white wine from the Somontano region.

The prestigious wine magazine Vinos de España tasted the best Spanish wines of €10 on the market for its February issue. In this tasting, the only Gold Medal for the Somontano region was for the VdV Cabernet Sauvignon Colección 2001, for its excellent quality/price ratio.

In the April-May issue of the prestigious magazine "Vinum" in a tasting of the best white wines from Spain, our VdV Chardonnay Colección 2001 has scored 17.5/20, highlighting the "qualitative leap" of our Colección range wines which, just a year later, were to be fully launched.

VdV Crianza 2000 selected by RENFE to be served in the high speed trains AVE on the Madrid-Lleida-Madrid route.

Viñas del Vero Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 was the Gold Medal winner in the prestigious contest Internationale Weinprämierung Zürich of Switzerland.

VdV Chardonnay Colección 2001 got the best rating in Enoforum 2003. Our winemaker presented it during this last annual forum of the most important winemakers of Spain, organized by Carlos Delgado, publisher of Enoforum as well Mi Vino and Vinum magazines.

On the occasion of the publication of the "Guia de los Lacres 2003", (the red guide for the best wines of Spain), of the 35 best wines of Spain awarded with the maximum score “3 Seals”, Viñas del Vero was the only winery from Somontano selected.

In the January issue of the magazine Vinos de España (Wines of Spain), a comparative tasting of the best Magnums in the market was held. The sole Gold Medal for a Somontano wine was awarded to our VdV Gran Vos Reserva Magnum 1999.

VdV Gran Vos 1999 achieved a Gold Medal in the International Wine Competition of Prodexpo in Russia.

Viñas del Vero was awarded "Winery of the Year" by the Guía de Vinos Gourmets (Guide to Gourmet Wines).

The Guía de Oro de los Vinos de España (Golden Guide of the Wines of Spain), edited by Andrés Proensa, awarded the Gold Medal to our Clarión 2000.

The prestigious Austrian Magazine Walfstaff rates our wines with the following excellent scores: 89/100 points for the VdV Gran Vos 1997 and 88/100 points for the VdV Clarión 2000.

The Canadian wine writer B. Crosariol in The Globe & Mail said "an impressive example of the new, fresh style of Spanish wines is the VdV Cabernet Sauvignon 1998".

The recognised critic José Peñin in his Guía 2002 (Peñin Guide 2002) gave 85+ points to four wines, (VdV Gran Vos 1998, VdV Cabernet Sauvignon 1999, VdV Chardonnay Barrel Fermented 1999 and VdV Gewürztraminer 2000), securing a place on the "podium" of the best wines in Spain.

VdV Gewürztraminer 2000 won a Gold Medal in the Internationale Wein Premierung Zurich 2001.
